Battlegroup South Show - 2nd & 3rd July

The annual Battlegroup South show will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of July at Bovington Tank Museum. This show is the perfect mix - wargaming while surrounded by real tanks!

The Bovington show, as its commonly known, is run by Battlegroup South a group of like minded gamers who live in the local area. This year will be their 13th annual show.

The show itself is an ideal combination of wargames, wargamers and traders surrounded by tanks and armoured cars. There’s nothing quite like playing a WW2 tank a game and actually having the real thing parked next to you.

This year there are some 35 traders and 30 games, covering a varied range of eras from 10,000BC to modern (Manchurian border dispute) and fantasy (Lord of the Rings) along with several Second World War games. We at WSS would like to thank Richard Harris and his team of friends for bringing us one of the best shows on the UK circuit.

Wargames, Soldiers and Strategy will be at Bovington on the Sunday, taking photographs for the magazine. If you see us, come and say 'hi'. Watch out for a gentleman with long blonde hair, a blue Karwansaray Publishers tee shirt and camera. That'll be the editor.
