Wargames, Soliders & Strategy, or simply WSS as it is often called, is already an old and well-liked magazine on the subject of wargaming. Published separately in English and Spanish, the English edition was recently removed from print by the original publisher: Karwansaray saw this as a unique opportunity to acquire a quality magazine that might otherwise have been lost. Re-launching at Salute 2011 (April 16), the new WSS will take everything that was great about the original magazine and make it even better.

Each issue will take a thematic approach and pay special attention to making the subject of historical wargaming more accessible and inviting to the beginning player, while still providing variety and advanced material for veterans. Better and more detailed painting guides, extensive army building lists, exciting battle reports and plenty of scenarios will inspire wargamers at every level. Keeping with the Karwansaray tradition for illustration quality, each issue will contain original artwork, maps and diagrams, plus many pictures of wonderfully painted figures (including specially commissioned minis by top painters on each cover).

We intend to initially launch Wargames, Soliders & Strategy with ads in major military history magazines such as Military Heritage and Military History. Additionally, the magazine will be available at WH Smith in the UK and should eventually be available in major American bookstores such as Borders and Barnes & Noble.
