This article was originally published in WSS 57. It provides historical background, game suggestions and unit lists for playing the Indian Mutiny with Black Powder rules. Due to a mistake in our layout, a small portion of the text on the first page was obscured by an image. We have now corrected this problem and decided to offer the article free to everyone. For our readers with a digital subscription, you may redownload issue 57 from our shop to receive a corrected version of the complete magazine.

Originally designed for the WAB supplement Siege & Conquest but never used, these rules by our editor allow you to include a number of naval engagements in your games. They are well suited to the article on the Earl of Warwick in issue 56 or the scenario about Caesar and the pirates in issue 57. They can however be adapted easily to a number of ancient and medieval battles.

Continuing the theme from issue 54, this article explores painting techniques and ideas for figures from the Glorious Revolution. This article includes nicely illustrated step-by-step guides for various units from the period along with more general suggestions for painting.

These rules were meant to accompany the scenarios and maps from issue 49 of the old Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy with a theme based around Operation Sea Lion. The rules were never printed, but included as a download from the old WSS website. Due to our takeover of the magazine, the rules became available from the original source. We are therefore offering the file here.

These rules for gaming the Napoleonic battle of Quatre-bras originally appeared in issue 47 of the old Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy. They were printed separately with maps and cards and packaged along with the magazine. Since our takeover of WSS, these rules have become difficult to find. We are therefore now offering them as a free PDF download.
